Why You Should Study Graphic Design at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale

  2. Students are prepared for success. Preparation for professional practice in visual communication design within a global context with special emphasis on visual language of design and typography.
  3. Hands-on experience - with guidance from instructors currently working in the field.  Courses feature applied projects, demonstrations, tours, labs, critiques and presentations by practicing professionals.
  4. Industry relevant computers and technical support (Macs and PCs) - We have open labs that operate from 8am until 10pm Monday-Saturday.  Our computers feature the software utilized in the industry.
  5. Complete your degree sooner. You can achieve a bachelor’s degree in three years by attending school year round.  Classes are available on ground and online.
  6. In house design agency- Artemis Design Group.  Available to honors students. Learn the graphic design business as you work with real clients under the direction of faculty to produce national and international pieces.
  7. Internships - through the Graphic Design internship program students work with the region’s professional design community; through close association with the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), a national professional organization.
  8. Think conceptually - apply traditional and digital tools to solve communication challenges using both disciplines in an integrated way.  This dual training gives graduates an edge in career building.
  9. Classes - Graphic design curriculum features web design (Dreamweaver and Flash), Advanced Photoshop, Conceptual and creative thinking classes.
